A new beginning for Emre Can started today as the German international took part in his first Juventus training session this morning as the club took the pitch at the new JTC in Continassa for the first time.
This afternoon, it was off to Allianz Stadium as Can held his introductory press conference. Here’s what he had to say:
A HUGE CLUB
"I already knew Juventus was a huge club. You can see it straight away from everything here…Sami Khedira told me how big it was and I’m very happy to be here."
WRITTEN IN THE STARS
"My first coach when I started playing football was Italian. He was a big Juventus fan and told me when I was seven or eight years old that I would play for Juventus. Now I’m here and it’s a great story. Of course, he’s very happy.”
WINNING MENTALITY
"The mentality at Juventus is that we just want to win titles. That’s my mentality too. I came here to win titles.”
"I feel at home in the midfield. Of course, at the end the manager decides and I just want to help the team and always give my best whether it’s defender, striker, goalkeeper or midfield.”
