The first date circled in red on the fixture calendar is undoubtedly the 22nd August, as at 17:45 CEST, the 2020/21 Serie A season will begin for Juventus Women against Verona.

Juve will find themselves immediately up against a known-face in Asia Bragonzi, one of the many talents loaned out in the top flight. Part of the squad last season, the forward’s biggest highlight was a hat-trick in the Coppa Italia against Chievo.

MORE KNOWN FACES

Just like against Verona, there are many matches in which the Bianconere will be facing familiar adversaries. The first game at home, on Matchday Two of the championship will be against Empoli Ladies, who have four Bianconere on the books: Benedetta Glionna, Melissa Bellucci, Margherita Brscic and Martina Toniolo and areled by Alessandro Spugna, who for two years was coach of the Under 19 Juventus Women's team. Matchday Six, Seven and Eight, sees Juve face Sassuolo with Martina Lenzini, Pink Bari with Ludovica Silvioni and Florentia with Federica Anghileri, Paolo Boglioni and Sofia Cantore all in their ranks.

BIG MATCH

October provides us with the first top-tier clashes. The weekend of the 4th October, on Matchday Four, Juve Women take on Milan, while the following week the Bianconere will face Fiorentina. Meanwhile, on the last two matchdays we’ll cross paths first with Roma and then with Inter.

THE FIRST TIMES

This year the girls of Coach Rita Guarino will face two teams never encountered before: the newly-promoted San Marino Academy and Napoli. The Bianconere will take on the former on Matchday Three, whilst the game against Napoli is scheduled on Matchday Nine: at the start of December the away game in Campania, in May the face-to-face at Vinovo.
