Giacomelli to referee Palermo clash

Pietro Giacomelli has been appointed referee for the Bianconeri’s Serie A home meeting with Palermo, to be played on Sunday 17 April at Juventus Stadium (15.00 CEST kick-off).

The official will take charge of a Juventus fixture for the fifth time in his career, with the Old Lady enjoying a 100 per cent record in the previous four encounters he has overseen. The last of which came on 20 December 2015, a 3-2 win over Carpi that featured a Mario Mandzukic double and a solitary strike from Paul Pogba.

On Sunday Giacomelli will be assisted by Matteo Passeri and Mauro Vivenzi and goal-line officials Michael Fabbri and Leonardo Baracani. Gianmatia Tasso has been named as the fourth official.
