A second-half fightback by Novara meant the Giovanissimi Nazionali rounded off their regular season with this afternoon’s 2-2 draw away from home.
All seemed to be going according to plan for Claudio Gabetta’s troops when Gianluca Sbordone put them a goal to the good inside the opening 25 minutes, before Christian Alessandria made it two on the hour mark.
This however inspired a spirited riposte from the hosts who, between 76 and 83 minutes, managed to turn the game on its head courtesy of strikes from Matteo Stoppa and Eric Malin.
The result sees the Bianconeri end their campaign in second place on 65 points, three adrift of league leaders Genoa. Now for the final 32.
