The Giovanissimi Nazionali made it four league wins on the bounce with a 4-1 victory over Spezia in Vinovo earlier this afternoon.
Claudio Gabetta’s charges took the lead after only seven minutes through Michael Martino before Gianluca Sbordone added a second ten minutes ahead of the half-time interval.
The young striker, who hit a hat-trick in last week’s five-star showing in Savona, then completed his brace to put Juventus into a commanding three-goal advantage after only 58 minutes.
Spezia’s Luca Scarlino pulled one back 120 seconds later only for Fabrizio Caligara to extend the hosts’ lead further when he rounded off the scoring nine minutes from the end.
Today’s result sees Gabetta’s lads close the gap on leaders Genoa to only two points, with both sides now set to play out a title showdown in Liguria in a couple of weeks’ time.
