It's not long now until the Derby Della Mole returns to the Allians Stadium on Saturday 23 September at 20:45! A new page is written in the long football rivalry that divides Turin for the 145th time in Serie A history.
Juventus leads the derby with 67 wins and 42 draws to Torino's 35 wins and, as is our motto, many of the matches have been fought to the end... Fino Alla Fine!
Looking back to 1968, Pietro Anastasi fired the Bianconeri to a 2-1 win at Torino with an 88th minute game-winner. We're sure a few of you out there remember this one!
Moving ahead to 25 March, 1979, again the 88th minute was a joyous one for Juventus as Antonio Cabrini earned three points in a 1-0 win. Torino flipped the script in 1983 as Torino came from 2 goals down to win. However, Juve would quickly re-gain the upper hand...
On 1 May, 1988, again it was the 88th minute as Ian Rush won it late for the Bianconeri while 22 November, 1992, an own goal saw Juventus steal all three points.
Ten years later, 24 February 2002, the Delle Alpi played host to another memorable derby. In an unforgettable moment, young Enzo Maresca scores a last-minute equalizer and does a famous "horns" gesture to the beaten goalkeeper.
Five years after that, 30 September 2007, the derby looked to be headed to a scoreless draw, but David Trezeguet was there to score a dramatic stoppage time winner earning three points for the Bianconeri.
The dramatic moments have only increased in the last few years. On 28 April, 2013 Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchiso scored in the last five minutes of the match to secure a 2-0 victory for Juve while on 30 November 2014, the genius of Andrea Pirlo broke a 1-1 draw in the 93rd minute to earn a 2-1 win at a raucous Allianz Stadium.
Same minute, same victory for the Bianconeri on Halloween in 2015 as Juan Cuadrado finished Alex Sandro's cross in the 93rd minute to secure another 2-1 win for Juventus.
The most recent last-second moment came in the last Derby as Gonzalo Higuain saved a point for Juve with a spectacular 92nd minute equalizer, the only draw at home for Juventus in their last 37 Serie A matches.
Fino Alla Fine...until the end...could we see another dramatic moment on Saturday night?
