Guida to take charge of Palermo encounter

Marco Guida has been named referee for Saturday evening’s Serie A clash between Palermo and Juventus at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

The 33-year-old, who hails from Pompei, is to preside over his tenth Bianconeri encounter in all competitions, with seven victories and two draws the record under his tutelage to date.

His last game involving Juventus was March 2014’s 2-0 league success away at Milan where goals in each half from Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez sealed the triumph.

Guida will be flanked in Sicily by assistant referees Gianluca Cariolato and Giuseppe De Pinto, goal-line officials Antonio Damato and Maurizio Mariani and fourth official Mauro Tonolini.
