There are days when we can only but stand up as a sign of respect.
Today, Dino Zoff turns 80. His legend is such that just but uttering his name, you immediately understand the weight of which his name carries.
Zoff's is the story of a serious Friulian, so dedicated to duty that it's almost difficult to find a photograph of him in which he smiles on the pitch.
Zoff's is also, if not above all, the story of a man who wrote entire chapters in the history of Italian football.
At Juventus, he won six Scudetti, two Coppa Italias and one UEFA Cup, and then again as a coach (for two years on our bench he was able to bring one more UEFA Cup and one Coppa Italia to the trophy cabinet).
Then there is the Dino Zoff of the Italian national side, the one who smiled in Madrid, that night in July 1982. He smiles after an incredible tournament. He smiles after an incredible final. He smiles, after having defended as a champion (but there was no doubt about that) the goal of a fantastic national team, one that contained so much Bianconero, that again that night, ascended the highest throne in the world.
Today, we celebrate the 80 years of a man, of which there have been very few like him.
His birthday is his, but we all celebrate it together.
Best wishes, Dino Zoff!
