December 8, 2021, Allianz Stadium. Juventus are hosting Malmö in the last meeting of the Champions League group stage in a match that will become unforgettable for Fabio Miretti. Called over from the bench, the teenager was thrown into the action, officially making his debut for the First Team.
A unique moment for the then-18 year old, and for the club, as a young talent that had come through the ranks made the grade. Fabio, who joined Juventus at the age of just eight, has continued to impress and mature year after year.
Today Miretti turns 19 and in just a few months many things have changed since that debut in the Champions League, making this a birthday to remember.
Last season with 30 appearances for the Under 23, he was promoted to the First Team on a permanent basis in the run-in to the campaign. After making his Serie A debut at the end of March, he started each of the last four league games, displaying personality, skill and vision that proved he could cut it on the most prestigious and important stage.
All of us today send him our best wishes, but the greatest wish is to continue to see him develop and improve day by day, as he has been doing since the day he walked through the doors at the Vinovo sports center.
