05 December 2020
45 years, 11 of which have been spent as President of Juventus – a great love of a lifetime. Today is Andrea Agnelli's birthday and we are sure that he could not have received a more fitting gift from his team than with the victory secured in the Derby della Mole.
It’s a story that speaks of the incredible feat of nine consecutive Scudetti, and many other goals achieved both in Italy and in Europe (there are seventeen, in all, the laurels of "his" Juve). As he often likes to repeat himself, these are goals that will have a more correct place in the future, when the news will become a Legend.
The most recent of these, the Scudetto won last July, came in a particularly complicated season, in a particularly complicated year, also for the world of European football, with which Agnelli, at the helm of the ECA (European Club Association), has tried to imagine how the future of the entire movement will be drawn.
It has been a year of suffering and fear, in which providing the fans with strong emotions and memories, despite being far away but very close, was and continues to remain even more important.
Andrea's Juve was, is and will continue to be ready to take on the new challenges of an inevitably changed world of football. On the other hand, our President's gaze has always been to look forward, from the first day of being in office; with him Juventus has (re) conquered a place of primary importance both on and off the pitch, thanks to a brand that has grown exponentially, following courageous ideas and moves, such as the birth of a new visual identity in 2017.
Past. Present. Future. Living ahead. Because - he will forgive us if we mention it again - the most important victory is the one that is yet to come.
Happy birthday from all of us, President!
