Tireless, committed, hard-working and capable of filling in anywhere across the midfield and even in defence, every team needs a player like Simone Padoin.
Luckily, Juve have been able to rely on his services for just over four years since Padoin made his Bianconeri debut on 8 February 2012 after a January deadline day switch from Atalanta.
In a quirk of the calendar, he even scored his first goal in the black and white stripes four years and a day ago in a 5-0 victory over Fiorentina on 17 March and it was a strike typical of our number 20's qualities: the timing, the flexibility to fill in a variety of roles on the pitch and his excellent positional sense to be in exactly the right position as Andrea Pirlo's long-range effort spun loose in the Viola penalty area.
As the utility man celebrates his 32nd birthday today, it is with great pleasure that all associated with Juventus Football Club wish Simone the very best of wishes and a fruitful end to the campaign with us.
