Gonzalo Higuain lauded Juventus’ performance in the 4-0 win away at Dinamo Zagreb, a ground the Argentine believes is no easy place to go and get three points.
“This is a tough ground. We wanted to play with a good mindset and we did that,” said Higuain after the game. “We now need to win in Lyon – that will be a key step in our Champions League campaign.”
The striker was quick to call on his team-mates to carry their good form into this weekend’s Serie A match with Empoli.
“Now we need to get our heads down for Sunday. We want to go into the international break with a good result,” explained Higuain.
The Argentine declared himself happy with his individual form after he scored again in the Champions League win in Croatia.
“I’m in good form and getting better little by little. I feel great – everyone at Juventus has made me feel welcome from my very first day here. I’m really happy.”
Higuain also believes that his understanding with the team is growing with every game.
“We’re all improving. I understand my team-mates and they understand me, even though I’ve only been here two months. We’re working hard all the time and us new signings are becoming more and more comfortable with the playing system. We have lots of room for improvement, though – we’re still at the start of the season.
“Of course, when you’re winning it’s much easier.”
