It was 16 years ago, on 24 January 2003, that Giovanni Agnelli sadly passed away.It meant the loss of one of the most important figures in the history of the club – not just because of the love he showed Juventus over the years, both during his presidency (1947-53) and in the decades that followed, but because l'Avvocato, as he was fondly known, came to be a role model and a source of inspiration for all.One of Agnelli’s most famous quotes is: “May the best team win or may Juve win? I’m lucky because often the two coincide.” It says a lot about the club Juventus were and continue to be: one that puts all its energy into striving for excellence.We believe that the best way to honour Agnelli’s memory is to continue winning, growing and lifting trophies, while at the same time ensuring we innovate both on and off the field.
