International recap | Italy knocked out of Euro 2024

Saturday evening was one to forget for Luciano Spalletti's Italy. The Azzurri fell to a 2-0 defeat against northern neighbours Switzerland and were knocked out of Euro 2024 in the Round of 16. 

Nicolo Fagioli came into the XI for his first start in Germany this summer and played 86 minutes, while Federico Chiesa was also named from the first minute and played until the end. Andrea Cambiaso also came off the bench for his third appearance at this summer's European Championship. 

Federico Gatti was among the substitutes again, unable to find space in the team to feature at the tournament.
