Italy are heading into their decisive game against England at Wembley on Tuesday, October 17, at 20:45 CEST, off the back of a 4-0 win over Malta that tightened the Azzurri's grip on second place in the group. With Moise Kean and Manuel Locatelli starting, the goals came from Giacomo Bonaventura, Domenico Berardi (two) and Davide Frattesi.
Serbia, on the other hand, were frustrated by Hungary, losing 2-1. Serbia remain in second place in their group, behind Hungary and ahead of Montenegro. Filip Kostic came off the bench.
In the friendlies, the United States were beaten by Germany, with both Juventus players, Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie, on the pitch. In Connecticut, Christian Pulisic opened the scoring, but Germany came back to win with Ilkay Gundogan, Niclas Fullkrug and Jamal Musiala all on target.
