The time is almost here! On Sunday, Italy will take to the field of Stade du Hainaut in Valencciennes in their opening group match of the Women’s World Cup, and all eyes will be on the eight Bianconere who could feature in the prestigious tournament.
All of Juventus’ eight international call-ups could don the Azzurre jersey at some stage in the tournament, after they were called up to Milena Bertolini’s 23-women squad
Laura Giuliani, Lisa Boattin, Sara Gama, Barbara Bonansea, Valentina Cernoia, Aurora Galli, Martina Rosucci and Cristiana Girelli after a successful club season in black and white, the Scudetto and Coppa Italia champions will be itching to kick off their tournament in style by securing a victory over Australia, kick-off at 13:00.
Italy’s remaining two games will be against Jamaica (Reims, June 14 at 18:00) and against Brazil (Valenciennes, June 18 at 21:00).
