Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace and goals from Kulusevski and Morata saw Juventus fire four past Parma at the Ennio Tardini Stadium on Saturday evening as they claimed a 4-0 win.
KULUSEVSKI AND RONALDO PUT JUVE IN FRONT
The first chance fell to Juve in the 12th minute when McKennie delivered a divine chip into the box for Ramsey, who tried to acrobatic chip it but landed up scuffing it instead and Sepe gathered. Buffon then made a crucial save three minutes later when Parma’s counter saw the ball rolled across to Kucka, who fired at the near post only to see his shot blocked by Gigi’s body. Juventus then opened the floodgates and scored two goals in the space of three minutes: the first game from Kulusevski when he turned in Alex Sandro’s cross, before then seeing Ronaldo score off his trademark fleeting header from Morata’s floating ball. Morata had a shot charged down in the box, while McKennie’s flick-on off a corner hit Bonucci and it went out from three yards.
RONALDO & MORATA WRAP IT UP
Juventus started the second half in excellent fashion, as they nabbed a third goal through Ronaldo: Ramsey played the ball to him on the left of the box, and he fired in an angled drive into the bottom far corner. Parma nearly responded with an effort of their own, as they had a Kucka effort cleared off the line by Buffon. De Ligt had the ball in the back of the net in the 55th minute after Sepe made a save on McKennie's shot, but it was ruled out as the corner went out of play. Bentancur saw his shot from the edge of the D go wide of the target, while Buffon made a save on Bruno Alves’ strike. Gagliolo then saw his effort skim past the far post, while Sepe punched away Portanova’s fired effort. Alvaro Morata wrapped up the win with his headed goal in the 85th minute, when he turned in Bernardeschi’s cross to put the score at 4-0.
