Departure for the United States beckons as the Juventus Summer Tour 2022 powered by JEEP is almost upon us. This will be the first tour since 2019, the year the Bianconeri headed out to Asia, where they played three games - in Singapore against Tottenham Hotspur, in Nanjing against Inter and in Seoul against Team K-League, a South Korean top flight select. At the end of the Asian experience, the squad travelled to Sweden for a showdown in Stockholm with Atletico Madrid, the same opposition that will close out this year’s pre-season tour too, in Tel Aviv on 7 August.
THE JOURNEY TO SINGAPORE!
JUVE-SPURS IN SINGAPORE
The match against Spurs opened the tour with Juventus losing out by the odd goal in five. Erik Lamela put the London club in the lead, Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo turned the match in the Bianconeri's favour before Lucas Moura and Harry Kane, in stoppage time, turned the tables on Juve. JUVE IN CHINA!
JUVE-INTER IN NANJING
The second match was an all-Italian affair, and one that would be a taster of what was to come in the Serie A season - with the same outcome, Juve as victors. The 90 minutes ended all square following an own-goal from Matthijs De Ligt and a Cristiano Ronaldo equaliser. The penalty shoot-out was decided by Merih Demiral.
STOPOVER IN SOUTH KOREA!
The last destination on the Asian Tour was South Korea. The match against Team K-League in Seoul was a high-scoring affair. Juve's goals in the 3-3 draw were scored by Simone Muratore, Blaise Matuidi and Matheus Pereira.
ATLETICO MADRID IN SWEDEN!
The match that saw out the summer, and the International Champions Cup, was the friendly in Stockholm against Atletico Madrid. The Spanish side emerged 2-1 victors. Find out how the match unfolded below.
