A firm grip on the midfield battle and enthusiasm of Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata in attack proved key to unlocking the Rossoneri rearguard in last night’s 3-1 win at Juventus Stadium.

The Argentine, a force to be reckoned with throughout, struck his 19th goal of the season in all competitions to set Juventus on their way to a fifth successive victory over the Rossoneri, a feat last achieved in 1984.

Responding instantly to a Luca Antonelli equaliser was Leonardo Bonucci, who popped up with his second of the season after previously striking the winner in October’s 3-2 triumph over Roma.

Spanish forward Morata banished any hopes of a Rossoneri revival with 25 minutes to play, diverting the ball past a stranded Diego Lopez to wrap up the Bianconeri’s 16th Serie A success of the campaign.
