"We worked a lot this week, so we came into the match a little tired, which is by no means an excuse - this match should make us think that to win games against opponents like this we need another approach mentally. On the 15th [of August] there are three points on the line against a Sassuolo side with plenty of technique. We have quality and the possibility of starting the league well, but we have to tighten up and add a nasty streak to our game. This defeat will do us good."

"We still have a bit of tiredness in our legs and jet lag. I haven't slept well at all this week and neither have my teammates. We also need to learn from these teams, who always want to compete to win. We won't think too much about the result but there is certainly room for improvement and we must raise our attention levels. It isn't enough to have clear ideas. We need a battling spirit because we are Juve, a shirt that in world football carries a certain weight and nothing can be taken for granted. With the support of the fans we want to have a better season than last year."
