Juventus is currently playing host to the European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) Pitch Management Workshop at its facilities, taking place on 2 and 3 September in both Allianz Stadium and JTC Continassa. This exclusive event focuses on advanced techniques and strategies essential for maintaining high-quality football and rugby pitches. This is an exceptional meeting point for these professionals, who devote their attention to turf care and maintenance and work to ensure optimal playing conditions.
And it's in no ordinary venue in which participants will be hosted: Juventus' Allianz Stadium recently won the Most Valuable Field of the 2023/2024 season award, a particularly prestigious prize as it is decided by the players themselves, and is thus a recognition of the care with which our pitch is maintained.
In these two working days, participants will develop and explore pitch management techniques and best practices, many of which are used at Juventus. These range from resource allocation - including the efficient use of labour, materials and machinery - to more practical solutions to reduce stress on budgets.
They will be paying particular attention to sustainable practices, discussing the latest technologies and innovations to achieve the peak upkeep of their pitches. Mattia Sarà, the Juventus Green Keeping manager, will discuss these issues in depth, assisted by the trusted Juventus consultant Alessio Forconi in the classroom and during visits to the Stadium and JTC Green Center pitches.
It will be the perfect opportunity for the participants to deepen, improve and share their skills and knowledge.
