Juventus continues to search for new areas and fields in which to expand. Just a few months after the creation of the Juventus Creator Lab, the Club is further broadening its horizons. The latest bianconero-based productions were presented at the 81st edition of the Venice film Festival.

Today, 4th September, is therefore a historic day, because it sees the continuation of our collaboration with Giffoni Innovation Hub, which began at the 54th Giffoni Film Festival: Juventus immerses itself in the unique and unparalleled atmosphere of The Floating City.

An entire day in black and white colours, in a city which has incredibly close ties to the world of cinema and entertainment, with two screenings at the Sala Laguna and an evening party at La Villa - powered by Giffoni Hub in Venice Lido.

At the prestigious 81st Venice Film Festival, Juventus presented the latest Juventus Creator Lab Original production: FRAGILE, which tells the story of Juventus Midfielder Nicolò Fagioli during last season.

NICOLÒ’S STORY

Nicolò Fagioli's story is a relatable one, the tale of a boy who realises his dream and then suffers setbacks before setting out on a path to get back on his feet. The betting, the ban and the media pillory he suffered are the best-known aspects of a story that deserves to be told in greater depth, without slipping into easy sensationalism or superficial judgements. Behind great champions lie complex, articulate, sometimes difficult personalities. Sporting genius is often accompanied by unexpected insecurities that are difficult to accept and manage. Knowing and admitting these weaknesses becomes a gesture of maturity and growth that can be an inspiration for those who live, or have lived, through difficult moments in their lives. The documentary aims to recount this journey and delve into the personality of a boy whose fragility became a value on which to rebuild himself and his career.

Juventus media Director Marco Castellanata stated that “Juventus continues its path of innovation, presenting the latest original production of the Juventus Creator Lab in the prestigious context of the Venice Film Festival. A unique production of its kind, which we hope will help, through Nicolò's experience, to highlight the importance of standing strong in moments of difficulty such as those he has faced.”

ARTISSIMA JUNIOR: ‘IL TAPPETO VERDE’!

Artissima Junior, a project that started in 2018 from the collaboration between Artissima and Juventus, put forward a new video production by artist and director Yuri Ancarani (Ravenna, 1972) dedicated to childhood dreams, in response to the theme of this year's edition of the festival ‘The Era of Daydreaming’. IL TAPPETO VERDE is the title of the short film presented in a three-stage tour, which started at the Giffoni Film Festival in July and will continue at the 81st Venice Film Festival on 4th September 2024 and will end in Turin at Artissima 2024.

The title of the work IL TAPPETO VERDE is linked to the image of the magic carpet in fairy tales and evokes the football pitch as a perimeter of possibilities, where hopes and desires intertwine in a kaleidoscope of emotions and expectations. The short film, starring former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, is set at the Allianz Stadium and reflects on the innate ability of children to dream big and the responsibility of adults to defend, respect and support these dreams, thus linking up with the theme of the next edition of Artissima. A production that celebrates one of the most popular and internationally loved sports, which unites generations of children from all over the world through their passion for the game, reinterpreted through the language of cinema and contemporary art, with the aim of bringing an ever-wider audience closer to the world of art.

An opportunity to continue to be protagonists at the forefront even off the pitch.
