The first and last at Vinovo

Vinovo was home to Juventus Women before the move to Biella for 2023/24, and it was a place where so many special memories were made.

The first of our goals scored there against Roma came from Barbara Bonansea, back in the 2018/19 campaign, and the last was netted by Sofie Junge Pedersen in a 5-2 win in May. The Dane's strike was her last goal for the club before moving on in the summer.

Rosucci's gem

One of the most aesthetically pleasing goals scored in Juventus vs Roma games came from Martina Rosucci. Back on October 2, 2021, the fixture had already become a game of real importance in Serie A.

The Giallorosse took the lead, but Juventus dug in and a Rosucci beauty helped us to turn things around, firing in from long range to level things up at 1-1.

Andrea Staskova scored later to complete the turnaround.

Girelli under the hail

As time went by, Juventus and Roma ended up locking horns for every title on offer, in Serie A, the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup. It was the latter of those three competitions that presented our next goal, back in 2021.

Facing off in the semi-final, the game started under sun and ended under a fierce hail storm that even delayed the start of extra time.

The game had ended 1-1 after 90 minutes and looked destined to go all the way to penalties, but Cristiana Girelli appeared with a header late on to clinch a 2-1 win for the Bianconere, sending us to the final.

Gama at the death

In 2021/22, Juventus Women had won the Super Cup and Serie A and were going for a treble for the first time, with Roma standing in their way as the final obstacle.

The two sides faced off with silverware on the line in Ferrara, and Andressa Alves put the Giallorosse ahead from the penalty spot in the first half. Girelli levelled with a spot-kick of her own, and Roma had a player sent off.

Then, late on, Sara Gama apepared. The captain was the first to react as a ball fell loose in the area and she made no mistake in finding the back of the net to seal our Italian Cup win and a historic treble.

Bonansea takes the Cup home

Another game with silverware on the line came in last season's Italian Cup final in Salerno. This time, though, there was a twist. This time, it was Roma who came into the game aiming for a treble, having won Serie A and the Itlian Super Cup after beating Juventus on penalties in Parma.

The game was as tight as you might expect, with neither side giving up any chances and the tension was palpable. With the game set to go to extra-time, Barbara Bonansea appeared on the end of a Lisa Boattin cross to head home a late, late winner and take the trophy back to Turiin.
