After the press conference, medicals, a visit to the Juventus Museum and a few training sessions in Vinovo, it's time to get down to business for the Juventus Women as they begin training camp in Aymavilles. The time in Valle d'Aosta will serve the team to come together as they prepare for their inaugural season in the Women's Serie A.

Fitness and tactical work are on the menu for Rita Guarino's side who must be ready to go in less than two weeks as they take the field on 27 August for the first leg of their first round Coppa Italia derby against Torino.

GAMA: JUVE LOOKING UP

"We will face the league and Italian Cup with a lot of calmness and serenity," said Juventus defender Sara Gama to Juventus TV (full interview aired exclusively Wednesday, August 16 at 13.00 CEST on Sky channel 212). "We know that wearing this shirt requires a lot. We do not set goals in advance, but we know that Juventus is pointing up and we will try to do our best. "

BONANSEA: I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A JUVENTINI.

Hard work coupled with the pride of wearing the black and white jersey is what forward Barbara Bonansea brings to the squad. She spoke to Juventus TV about her pride to be a part of the first Juventus Women's squad.

"I have always been Juventus. From the outside you feel that Juventus has something more and so now to be part of it is something spectacular," said Bonansea. "The fans are what help us in the field and to hear the comments and so much interest in us changes our perspective and makes me very happy."

GUARINO: START ON THE RIGHT FOOT

Head coach Rita Guarino is so far satisfied with her squad.

"The preparation is fine: the group is fully available," said Guarino. "There will be a lot of work to do because some girls did not know each other, but we started with the right foot."

The Bianconero coach then discussed the goals for the team in the first season.

"Ambition must always be there, at any level. The team was built to compete in a top league...the goal is to do well, and if we were to qualify for the Champions League it would be an important result."

The girls will continue preparing in Aymavilles until 20 August with six days of intense work left to get prepared for a season that will be full of challenges and emotions.
