Juventus Women v Sassuolo

After the 0-6 win against Chievo Verona in the Coppa Italia, which secured Juventus Women a place in the quarter-finals, the team have turned their attention back to Serie A.

On 15 October at 18:00 CEST, Juventus Women will face Sassuolo at the Pozzo-La Marmora stadium in Biella. Tickets have sold out for the second time in a row.

Montemurro’s squad will be looking to bag their fourth win in four matches this season.

Let’s have a look at the history between the two sides!

Juventus Women v Sassuolo

  • Although Juventus Women have won nine of their last 12 matches against Sassuolo in Serie A, the Emilian side have proven to be the second toughest nut for Juve to crack in Serie A, after AC Milan. Sassuolo have avoided defeat three times (versus Milan’s five) against the Bianconere, recording a win in March 2019 and two draws in the most recent games (September 2022 and January 2023, both 1-1 at home).
  • Sassuolo could become the second team, after Fiorentina, to lose 10 times to Juventus in Serie A, making Juventus the only team to beat them 10 times.
  • Over the last three Serie A seasons, Juventus dropped four points from matches against Sassuolo (two draws having taken the lead). Juventus have only done worse against Roma (five points dropped) over the same period.
  • Sassuolo have conceded the most goals against Juventus in Serie A (31), at least seven more than any against other team in the league.
