Juventus Women suffered defeat against Como 1907 on Matchday 3 of Serie A Women. At the Stadio Pozzo-La Marmora in Biella, Isaac Guerrero's side fell to a 4-2 loss after going behind in the first half, finding an equaliser through Redondo early in the second half and then conceding three consecutive goals. Chiba pulled one back late on, but it was not enough to prevent a second successive league defeat.

THE FIRST HALF | COMO TAKE THE LEAD

Como made a dangerous start to the match, with Haavi breaking into the penalty area from the right in the fourth minute and testing Rusek with a low diagonal effort. Juventus looked to respond and, in the eighth minute, Sarriegi found herself in a promising position following a corner, but her shot was blocked by an opposition player.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 12th minute. Olofsson delivered a low ball from the right, which Giacinti failed to reach, but Moraca was waiting at the far post to beat Rusek and make it 0-1.

The Bianconere responded immediately. In the 15th minute, Bartel found the net with what appeared to be the equaliser, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Juventus also requested an FVS review for a possible penalty, although the on-field decision remained unchanged.

Guerrero's side continued to push for an equaliser and created another excellent opportunity in the 27th minute, when Sarriegi raced through one-on-one with Durante. However, the Como goalkeeper came off her line to deny the Juventus forward. Shortly afterwards, Godo tried her luck from a free-kick, but her effort was comfortably gathered by Durante.

Como threatened again in the 36th minute when Giacinti met Haavi's cross from the left with a header, but failed to direct her effort on target.

The visitors therefore went into the break with a one-goal advantage.

THE SECOND HALF | REDONDO EQUALISES BEFORE COMO PULL CLEAR

Juventus returned to the pitch determined to overturn the deficit and found an equaliser in the 51st minute. Redondo capitalised on a mistake in the Como defence, found herself through on goal and beat Durante to make it 1-1.

The goal restored parity, but the visitors regained the lead in the 60th minute. Wullaert struck a powerful effort from the edge of the penalty area, leaving Rusek with no chance and putting Como back in front.

Juventus tried to regroup, but Como continued to threaten. In the 66th minute, Moraca came close to adding a third with a diagonal effort that went narrowly wide. Just one minute later, the visitors made it 1-3: Bonfantini, who had only recently come off the bench, met a pass from the left and finished from close range.

The Bianconere looked to respond, but Como added a fourth in the 75th minute, with Bonfantini scoring again to complete her brace and extend the visitors' lead to 1-4.

Despite the deficit, Juventus continued to search for a goal and managed to pull one back in the 87th minute. Chiba took advantage of a misjudged attempt by Durante to come off her line and slotted the ball into the net, making it 2-4 and giving the Bianconere renewed hope.

However, the score remained unchanged in the closing stages. The final whistle came after six minutes of added time, confirming a 4-2 victory for Como 1907 in Biella and a second consecutive Serie A Women defeat for Juventus.

ISAAC GUERRERO'S COMMENTS

“I think the first half was evenly balanced, and it's a shame we couldn't find an equaliser because I believe we deserved one. We started the second half very well after changing our formation, put Como under pressure and, once we'd equalised, it was the moment to push for a second goal. However, we knew we were facing a very quick team who are dangerous on the counter-attack, and when you try to attack and pin your opponents back in their own half, you inevitably take risks. Today, Como took advantage of those situations, scoring three goals practically on the counter-attack. I think we continued to push even after making it 1-1, trying to build on the momentum we'd gained, but football is also a game of mistakes, and a single incident can change everything, even when you're controlling the match. Conceding goals in those moments is difficult to take mentally, but I want to praise the players because they kept fighting until the very end, trying to get back into the game and find an equaliser. We didn't manage it, but I'm convinced we'll bounce back. We'll work hard and with determination, I'm sure about it”
