Juventus Women started their pre-season preparations with victory against Hungarian side, Ferencvaros, on Sunday evening.
Playing in front of a strong crowd in Vinovo, this was also an opportunity for some of the Bianconere’s summer signings to grow into their new home, and so it proved to be, as both goals in the 2-0 win were scored by recent recruits.
Cristiana Girelli broke the deadlock with an unstoppable right-footed shot on the turn. Then Lianne Sanderson doubled the score, turning home an assist by Barbara Bonansea.

“Today we have seen some interesting things tonight, but these matches are designed to improve our condition and put petrol in the tank ahead of the first match of the season on 25 August.
“The new girls are bedding in well, not only on the pitch but also in the locker room, which was fundamental to our success last season.
“The upcoming friendly games against Arsenal and Chelsea will be a great experience for us. I also expect plenty of people to be watching on, as they’re teams of the highest level.”
