Today saw the return of some further familiar faces in Vinovo, with Paulo Dybala, Douglas Costa and Alex Sandro reuniting with their Bianconeri team-mates following their respective national team commitments in midweek. Rodrigo Bentancur, meanwhile, has been given two days to recharge his batteries after playing the full 90 minutes in each of Uruguay’s international friendlies.
In view of Sunday’s Serie A match away to Sampdoria, one group of Bianconeri players were put through their paces in a training ground friendly against amateur side, OltrepoVoghera. For the record, Gonzalo Higuain scored twice while Claudio Marchisio too found the back of the net before taking part in today’s Junior Reporter event.
The rest of the squad, including the majority of Italy internationals alongside Stefano Sturaro, trained apart with a focus on possession and positioning.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men will continue their preparations for Sunday’s match with another workout tomorrow morning.
