It may have been a dead rubber in some people's minds but Moise Kean is sure to remember today's game against Bologna for the rest of his life. The precocious striker struck his first Serie A goal deep into stoppage time to earn victory for Juventus.
In doing so, he also became the first player born in the new Millennium to find the net in one of Europe's top leagues.
“I'm delighted to score my first goal, though I got a touch of luck too,” he began.
“It's every 17-year-old's dream to score for a big club like Juventus. It feels amazing but I know I have to keep knuckling down because this is just the start.”
The Italian starlet went on to highlight the role played by his Juve team-mates before dedicating his strike to a special person.
“I've learnt so much from the senior players. I really am very lucky to be able to train with them. They've always been there to help me and urge me on.
”I want to dedicate this goal to my family, and my mother in particular. She won't believe I've actually scored!”
