The evolution of Juventus continues! From the 2018/19 season, the club will introduce a second squad, named Juventus II, which will play in Serie C, beginning August 25th.
The project was able to become a reality as the rules were changed in Serie C allowing Juventus the first spot in the order of admission of second teams to the tiers of Italian football.
The boys of Juventus II have started their training at JTC in Continassa which will be the training home of both the first and second team this season.
Their matches will be played at the Stadio Moccagatta in Alessandria, a little over 90km to the east of Allianz Stadium.
THE TECHNICAL STAFF
The manager of the second squad will be Mauro Zironelli, born in Thiene in 1970. After a long career as a footballer that saw him play in places like Vicenza, Fiorentina, Pescara, Chievo and Venice, he began coaching in 2006 for Vicenza Virtus.
Zironelli led Eccellenza to promotion from Serie D to Serie C last season.
The rest of his coaching staff will be Stefano Sottoriva, Daniele Palazzolo, Samuele Callegaro, Cristiano Lupatelli and a medical staff coordinated by Dr. Marco Salvucci.
