With Juventus looking to tighten their grip at the top of the Serie A table and secure their place in the Champions League last 16 as group winners, the end of November marked a critical period in their season.
One of the Bianconeri's most disjointed showings of the campaign saw them concede three times in the first half in a 3-1 defeat to Genoa, a matter of days after beating Sevilla by the same scoreline in the crunch clash of Group H.
The visit of high-flying Atalanta presented the perfect opportunity to get back to business in Serie A and goals from Alex Sandro - his first of the season - Daniele Rugani and Mario Mandzukic - rounding off a superb all-round performance from the Croatian - saw Massimiliano Allegri's men do just that.
Before the game which saw Sandro sweep home at the near post and Rugani and Mandzukic head in from corners, Juventus Stadium paid its respects to those who tragically lost their lives in the Chapecoense air disaster.
Mandzukic was withdrawn to a standing ovation as the game drew to a close, Remo Freuler's well-placed volley eight minutes from time the only blot on an otherwise perfect evening for the league leaders.
