Stephan Lichtsteiner was back among the group today as the Bianconeri turned their attentions to Tuesday’s Champions League Group D encounter with Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany.
The Swiss defender, sidelined after undergoing minor heart surgery at the beginning of October, joined up with a first-team squad buoyed by last night’s dramatic Derby della Mole victory over Torino, sealed in the very last seconds through Juan Cuadrado.
Those who were involved in yesterday’s triumph underwent a warm-down, while the remainder of the squad conducted a mixed training session in the Vinovo sunshine.
Sami Khedira, who left the action early last night after reporting a muscle problem, will undergo medical tests tomorrow ahead of the team’s departure for Germany.
Training is to be held at Juventus Center from 11.15 CET onwards, with the first 15 minutes open to the media, while the Bianconeri will have the chance to inspect the Borussia Park surface when they arrive in Mönchengladbach later that evening.
Immediately afterwards, at 18.15, Massimiliano Allegri and Leonardo Bonucci will preview the game when they meet the media at the stadium’s press suite.
