Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta today entered the Italian Football Hall of Fame after attending the prestigious awards ceremony organised by the Football Federation in Florence this afternoon.

The 57-year-old was one of ten new names to have been inducted at the event, joining former Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro, Diego Armando Maradona, ex-Bianconeri manager Carlo Ancelotti, Stefano Braschi, Sandro Mazzola and Carolina Morace. Giacomo Bulgarelli, Ferruccio Novo and Carlo Carcano – who, from 1930 to 1934, led the Old Lady to four of their five consecutive league titles during the 'Quinquennio d'Oro' phase – were all remembered posthumously.

The section of Coverciano’s football museum, opened in December 2011, aims to promote the heritage, history, culture and values of the Italian game. During the ceremony, each attendee donated a particular memoir from their career to the exhibit, with the club’s CEO choosing to give his Scudetto winners’ medal from the Bianconeri’s triumphant 2011/12 Serie A campaign.

Marotta joins club legends Roberto Baggio, Dino Zoff, Giampiero Boniperti, Marcello Lippi, Giovanni Trapattoni, Michel Platini and Gaetano Scirea who have all entered the Italian Football Hall of Fame in recent years.
