Vittorio Caissotti di Chiusano, known simply as Vittorio Chiusano, was the 21st president of Juventus Football Club.
During the Torinese’s 13 years at the helm between 1990 and 2003, the Bianconeri amassed an impressive 16 trophies including five Serie A titles and a Champions League.
A successful lawyer and city councilman of Turin, Chiusano always had a close affiliation with the Old Lady, beginning his association formally in 1960 when he was handed a role as administration counselor before becoming vice-president during the 1970s.
Upon succeeding Giampiero Boniperti as president in 1990, Chiusano said in an interview to Hurra Juventus, “My love for Juventus began in earnest when I closely followed the great Quinquennio side and my father took me to watch the training sessions. I was only five or six years old.”
Chiusano passed away in Turin whilst his beloved Juventus were on their pre-season tour of North America in 2003. Upon their return to Italy, the team, then managed by Marcello Lippi, won the Italian Super Cup final against Milan and subsequently dedicated the victory in his honour.
