Midfield wizard Miralem Pjanic talked to the Sky and Mediaset microphones today about the upcoming games and more!
"We are good. We've gotten through a tough schedule with difficult games, especially away from home like Fiorentina and Torino, continuing to win in the league."
EVERYONE ANSWERING THE CALL
Juventus has gotten through a phase of the season, even with many players out with injuries, that they've been able to grind out points.
"Obviously it's always better to have everyone available," said Pjanic. "But we have a deep squad and Mister Allegri has gotten everyone involved. We've seen each player answer the call with his own contributions."
A couple of key pieces are back as Paulo Dybala made his return in Sunday's derby while Blaise Matuidi has returned to train with the team.
"Blaise is an imporant player who brings his range, physicality and aggression in a positive way to the squad which gives us a big hand. He's been great here and has been brought along the right way. As for Paulo, of course he will have to find his form but he certainly will and his quality will be very important for us."
ATALANTA AND NAPOLI
Up next for Pjanic and Juve is double duty against Atalanta in Serie A and Coppa Italia.
"We congratulate Atalanta, both the team and the coach, for the great results they've achieved in the last few years. I'm sorry that they went out of Europa League. They gave a great account and maybe deserved to go through against a very high quality team like Dortmund. It's true that the odds favor us but we know we're facing a quality opponent that can give any Serie A team lots of trouble. We're focused and really want to win.
Every Serie A match left for Juventus will be key in their head-to-head battle with Napoli, especially given the Partenopei have only the league left after going out of the Europa League.
"It's a pity that Napoli have gone out of the Europa League because I think they could have made it to the end. They are having a great season, in the league and it will certainly be a good battle. If we both continue to play like we are, then our head-to-head match will likely be decisive and if that's the case, we'll be ready. We can't look ahead, however, we have to think about scoring points, winning our games and keeping on their heels or even surpassing them. There's still a long road ahead let's focus on the present."
ALWAYS HUNGRY
One thing is always for sure about Juve: the hunger to win.
"We're playing for all three titles and we always want to win, especially to reach a seventh consecutive Scudetto. The team and staff are working hard for this goal."
LONDON CALLING
On the horizon, the Champions League return leg with Tottenham looms.
"After being up 2-0, we could and should have managed the game better but we faced an opponent who's strong all over the pitch. Now we have the return and we have to go to London convinced that we can win. I believe we can and believe in our whole team."
