At 18:00 (CEST) on Sunday, 27 October 2024, Juventus will face Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan on Matchday nine of the Serie A campaign.

Coach Thiago Motta discussed the challenge against the Nerazzurri in today’s press conference.

THE SQUAD’S CONDITION

“There is always a desire to get out on the pitch, we give our all against every opponent and we are determined to play our game with the aim of achieving what we know we are capable of. Every challenge is a different story, we will have to be good at implementing our style of play in the game. We won’t have any players returning to fitness for tomorrow’s match: all those who were available for the Champions League match against Stuttgart on Tuesday will be part of the squad that will go to Milan to face Inter.

THE APPROACH TO THE MATCH

“At Juventus the demands are very high, rightly so given the club's history. Whether we win or lose, however, we must always think about the next challenge: we must neither overly celebrate a success nor dwell on a loss. We have a big game ahead of us and we are completely focused on that alone. I feel good ahead of the game and welcome the expectations, because my full focus is on ‘the next match’: we must give 200% on the pitch as we always do in every training and in every match. The result cannot always be positive, but we try to take the maximum out of the game and work towards our goals in the right way as we have always done.

THE CHALLENGE AGAINST INTER

“Inter are experienced, they won the Scudetto and alongside Napoli they are the favourites in the title race. They are a strong team, but we must put into practice what we have prepared and focus on our implementing our style of play and not being influenced by the opposition. No match should be approached differently, we should give our all in every game: after this match, there are still many, many challenges left ahead of us. Tomorrow will see two strong teams with excellent players take on one another on the pitch: we will have to be excellent defensively and equally excellent in attack, paying close attention to transitions, which remain one of Inter's strong points.”
