Today our column dedicated to Next Gen talents around Italy and Europe once again features Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. And it could not be otherwise after the young player made his debut for his new club.
After starting the season in Serie B with FC Sudtirol Nicolussi Caviglia became a Salernitana player on Thursday 5 January and immediately took to the field to train with his new teammates.
There was no time to lose because Torino were going to arrive in Salerno on Sunday 8 January.
And guess what? Hans started in midfield for the club from Campania and played the entire match, which ended 1-1. His performance was attentive and intelligent.
At the end of the game, Salernitana coach Davide Nicola found time to praise Hans.
"We focus a lot on young players, especially those that already have some experience, to raise the team's personality. An example is Nicolussi Caviglia who I think has proved that he's a very interesting player. He is mentally predisposed for important games. You can see that he has a solid path behind him. Probably no one would have thrown him in from the first minute, but when someone is good it is right that he is given the opportunity to prove it immediately." Davide Nicola
Words of esteem that certify the solid impact that Hans has had within the group since his arrival. Against Torino Nicolussi Caviglia made his fourth appearance in Serie A, after turning out three times with Juventus in the 2018/2019 season.
Against the Granata, it was, however, the first ever from kick off. All in all, not a bad start.
Well done, Hans!
