Lazio was the first Italian club for the Brazilian midfielder, who subsequently played for Juventus for a year and a half, winning the Scudetto and Coppa Italia.

A close-up from Lazio-Juventus in season 2005-06 sees David Trezeguet trying to get the better of Angelo Peruzzi . The goalkeeper spent a large chunk of his career between the two clubs, making 301 appearances for Juve and 226 for Lazio, the team he ended his playing days with.

If Juventus was his launching pad, Lazio was the team where he displayed all of his talent, projecting him on the stage of the 1994 World Cup and the 1996 European Championships. Pierluigi Casiraghi played in Serie A only for these two clubs. Previously he had turned out for Monza in Serie B, subsequently, with Chelsea in the Premier League.
