24 July 2019
An all-Italian challenge will take place today at 13:30 CEST (local time 19:30)... The Bianconeri will take to the field for the second match of the International Champions Cup 2019, where they will face Inter at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Stadium.
The Nerazzurri have so far, in Asia, played a friendly match against Manchester United, in Singapore, where they lost 1-0 courtesy of Greenwood's decisive goal. Previously, new coach Antonio Conte had claimed a victory on his debut, recording a 2-1 win against Lugano thanks to the goals from Sensi and Brozovic.
A few days ago, against the Red Devils, Inter took to the field with a dynamic 3-5-2: in front of Handanovic, the three defenders who were deployed from the beginning were D’Ambrosio, De Vrij and Skriniar. In midfield, wide on the flanks were Candreva and Dalbert, with Brozovic as playmaker and Gagliardini and Sensi in the middle. In front was the young paring of Longo and Esposito. During the match, Barella (bought a few days ago from Cagliari), Perisic, Ranocchia, Joao Mario, along with players from the academy, all featured in the game from the bench.
This will not be the first time that Juventus and Inter face each other in the International Champions Cup. In fact, they already met each other in the first edition of the tournament back in 2013, where in Miami, the score finished at 1-1 with goals from Vidal on one side and Alvarez from the other. Then, on penalties, the Nerazzurri imposed themselves with a 9-8 win.
