The last opponents for Juventus outside of the Allianz Stadium before Serie A takes a break for World Cup Qatar 2022 are Hellas Verona.
On Thursday 10 November the Bianconeri take to the field of the Marcantonio Bentegodi stadium, where Verona have collected their one and only victory so far this campaign.
CURRENT FORM
Verona are the side currently propping up the Serie A table with 10 defeats and two draws from their 13 matches played this season.
The one victory arrived in Matchday 5 against Sampdoria. Since defeating the Blucerchiati, Hellas have lost all of the successive eight league fixtures, remaining on five points, one point less than Samp and Cremonese, the other two clubs occupying the relegation places.
With 26 goals against, Verona have Serie A's leakiest defence. In the eight match negative streak, the Gialloblu have conceded from the 90th minute onwards in six of those games.
THE COACH | SALVATORE BOCCHETTI
Verona became the fourth club to change coach this season when Gabriele Cioffi was released after defeat at Salernitana on Matchday 9. Cioffi, who was hired in the summer after the departure of Igor Tudor, has been replaced by Salvatore Bocchetti.
Serie A's youngest coach at 35, Bocchetti entered Verona's first team staff in September 2021 under Tudor after being promoted from his role as Under18 coach. With the arrival of Cioffi, Bocchetti returned to the Academy as Under19 coach.
Following Cioffi's dismissal, Bocchetti was called up as First Team coach. He has taken charge of four matches, against Milan, Sassuolo, Roma and Monza, all of which have resulted in defeat.
PLAYER TO WATCH OUT FOR | DARKO LAZOVIĆ
Alongside Miguel Veloso, Darko Lazović is one of the most experienced and talented players in the Verona ranks and one to whom the coach and squad will look to to inspire the team's bid to beat the drop after players of the calibre of Giovanni Simeone, Gianluca Caprari, Antonín Barák and Matteo Cancellieri all left the club in the summer.
The Serbia international returned from injury in the recent defeat against Monza, his first appearance under new coach Bocchetti, just three years his senior.
For his club, Lazović is most often employed as a left winger. He supplied the cross for Simeone's and Verona's second goal when Juve visited the Bentegodi last season. It proved to be the match winning pass.
Naturally left-footed, the former Red Star Belgrade and Genoa player could be considered the perfect back up for Filip Kostić in the national side, but Serbia coach Dragan Stojković prefers to use the Verona player on the right.
