Juventus start the second round of the 2023/24 season with a home fixture against Sassuolo on Tuesday evening at the Allianz Stadium, taking on the only side to have earned three points off of them across the first 19 games of the campaign.

Even so, the Bianconeri have a solid record against the Neroverdi, who have won just one of their last seven games across all competitions, and sit 14th in the Serie A standings.

Ahead of Tuesday's 20:45 CET kick-off, here's ten things to know about Sassuolo.

1. Sassuolo has won three of the last five matches against Juventus in Serie A (2L), having achieved just one success in the previous 16 top-flight matches against the Bianconeri, losing 12 times and drawing three.

2. The Neroverdi have won their last two Serie A matches against Juventus, as many successes as those achieved in the previous 19 matches between these two teams in the competition (D3, L14).

3. Sassuolo has collected 19 points in the first round of the 2023/24 season, two more points than the 17 recorded in Serie A 22/23 at this point in the tournament. In all of the last four seasons (from 2019/20 to 2022/23) the Neroverdi have always collected more points in the second round than the first.

4. The next match will be Sassuolo's 400th in Serie A: they will be the 38th team in history to reach this milestone since the 1929/30 season. Their record so far reads 131 victories, 110 draws and 158 defeats.

5. Domenico Berardi has scored five penalties so far in the 2023/24 Serie A season, and in the top five European leagues no attacker has done better (five also for Kylian Mbappé) – considering all positions only Hakan Çalhanoglu (six) has scored more from the penalty spot.

6. The only goal scored in this championship by Armand Laurienté came in the first leg against Juventus: after that goal the Frenchman has attempted 33 shots in Serie A, without hitting the target again (only Cambiaghi of Empoli, 35 shots without scoring, has been worse).

7. Andrea Pinamonti has scored eight goals this season: considering all competitions, he only did better in the 2021/22 campaign with Empoli shirt (13 goals).

8. Among all of Sassuolo’s players, Martin Erlic has made the most passes (780), has the most interceptions (19), has won the most duels won (79) and has the most defensive clearances (79).

9. Jeremy Toljan has already provided five assists in the 2023/24 Serie A season, only Paulo Dybala, Felipe Anderson and Marcus Thuram have recorded more (six) than the black and green full-back.

10. Juventus is one of three teams against which Coach Alessio Dionisi has won the most Serie A matches: three wins in five matches, with the same record against Empoli and Verona.
