Juventus travel to Milan to take on Inter tomorrow, Wednesday 26 April, in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Ahead of the fourth Derby d'Italia this season, we take a look at the Nerazzurri's cup form as they defend the trophy claimed last May in the final against the Bianconeri.

COPPA ITALIA FORM

Before claiming a last-second draw with Juventus in the first leg of the semi-final, Inter had won all of their four Coppa Italia matches before the showdown at the Allianz Stadium. Having drawn their previous two away games in the Coppa Italia, both 0-0 over the previous two seasons, the Nerazzurri recorded three consecutive away draws in the tournament for the first time since May 2006.

Overall, the Nerazzurri are unbeaten in their last eight Coppa Italia matches, winning six and drawing two, with their last defeat dating back to 2 February 2021, against the Bianconeri.

That semi-final first leg victory was the second of the two Juve successes from the last 13 Derby d'Italia clashes in the cup. Inter have remained unbeaten in the other 11 Coppa Italia meetings against Juve, winning five and drawing six.

OVERALL CUP FORM

In his second season at the helm of Inter, Simone Inzaghi is repeating his success in cup competition that he had achieved with his previous club, Lazio.

In January the Nerazzurri defeated Milan 3-0 in Saudi Arabia to retain the Supercoppa Italiana, which meant that Inzaghi has won all three domestic cup competitions since he took over from Antonio Conte as Inter coach in the summer of 2021.

On the European front, Inter have remained unbeaten in the four knock-out Champions League matches so far, winning two and drawing two against Porto and Benfica. In fact, the only cup defeats the Nerazzurri have suffered this campaign came at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage.

Losing home and away against the German outfit pushed the Nerazzurri into second place in Group C. The Milanese side won three and drew one of the remaining four group matches, eliminating Barcelona and Viktoria Plzeň.
