Following yesterday’s day off granted in wake of their win over Sassuolo, Juventus regrouped at a sunny Vinovo this morning for the start of their weekly preparations leading up to Saturday’s trip to Palermo.
Missing from the group were Paul Pogba, suspended for the clash at the Renzo Barbera and subsequently afforded an extra day of rest, and Romulo, who returned to Brazil for a check-up following the thigh operation he underwent in December.
The team took to the training ground just after midday, beginning their session with a series of testing shuttle runs over varying distances. These was then followed by passing drills and tactical work before the workout drew to a close with a practice match contested on a reduced pitch.
Watching the action unfold from the touchline were president Andrea Agnelli and Fabio Paratici.
Tomorrow will see Massimiliano Allegri’s men raise the intensity of their preparations when they return to the training ground for another morning session.
