Pavia dispatched by Giovanissimi

Two quick-fire strikes in as many first-half minutes allowed Claudio Gabetta’s Giovanissimi Nazionali to turn up the heat on table-topping Genoa with a 2-0 success over Pavia in Vinovo earlier today.

With a mere 60 seconds on the clock, Gianluca Sbordone struck to shock the visitors before Alessandro Lombardi added a second only two minutes later.

The Bianconeri then showed maturity belying their young years for the remaining 87 minutes to hold the two-goal advantage, contain Pavia and see out an all-important victory as they look to embark on a strong league run from now until the end of the season.
