Tonight’s goalscorer Roberto Pereyra believes the Bianconeri’s strength in depth is the secret behind the excellent 2014/15 season the team is enjoying to date.
The absences of Paul Pogba, Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez could have threatened to knock Juventus’ Coppa Italia assault off tilt, but those who came in for tonight’s 3-0 semi-final return leg win over Fiorentina, including Pereyra himself, proved themselves to be worthy replacements.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the Argentine said: “Everyone’s capable of coming in and doing well because ours is a strong group and we showed that at a tough venue. We prepared well during the week and were able to achieve an important result.
“We’re doing a great job thanks to Allegri. The Champions League? We’ll take things one game at a time, and now our thoughts are on Parma.”
