Back on 14 May 2003 Juventus played the “perfect game”, overcoming a 2-1 first leg deficit to defeat Real Madrid 3-1 in Turin and book their place in the final at Old Trafford.
Now, with Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Los Blancos firmly on the horizon, it’s time to find out just how the Bianconeri beat the “Galacticos” on that fantastic evening of football at the Stadio delle Alpi.
The club’s realm of wonder and history, Juventus Museum, has recently erected a shrine dedicated to the victory, complete with Marcello Lippi’s tactics board which guided the team to one of the most famous results in the Bianconeri's illustrious past.
Alongside the former manager’s tactics from that night is also a commemorative signed Real Madrid jersey worn during the Corazòn Classic Match against the Old Lady in 2013, making the exhibit a real treat for connoisseurs of football to savour.
