Goal scorer and game changer, this was another great night in black and white for Miralem Pjanic, whose brilliant free-kick sparked Juventus’ comeback win on Wednesday night against Sporting CP.
“Tonight was far from easy,” opened Pjanic. “Nevertheless, we played well and eventually came up with the goods, which makes us happy.
“This is a very important result and now we are determined to seal qualification from the group stage in Lisbon. It’s even more crucial that we don’t lose there and we must do that by going to Portugal for the win.”
Reflecting on his wonder strike, the Bosnian admitted: “It was a little while since my last goal, so I’m happy to have scored tonight. I thank the Juventus medical staff who have been great to work with on my return to full fitness.”
