On Saturday night (Sunday night in Italy), Juventus and Real Madrid will face each other in an iconic match at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. As well as already being a game between two footballing greats, there’s another reason as to why Saturday’s showcase will be so important:
Juve and Real, in collaboration with adidas, will in fact unite at the event to promote, through unique limited edition jerseys, the values of inclusiveness and respect for differences in the world of football.
The initiative will be called “Play Proud”, and it’s purpose is to support the Common Goal project and features special artwork on the team’s jerseys, which will illustrate what unites each other in diversity in order to make football an accessible space for all.
A special project, the first that binds Juve, Real and adidas together, in collaboration with the artist Yash Pradhan, of the collective The Amplifier, who has always been committed to spreading a collective vision that supports social activism through creativity, which has for the occasion reinvented the team’s shirt numbers.
The two clubs will each put an autographed shirt (Paul Pogba for Juventus, Karim Benzema for Real Madrid) up for auction in order to support the Play Proud and Common Goal projects: a solid gesture to tell the story of an inclusive and welcoming football of the future.
