After the 1-1 draw against Benevento, Andrea Pirlo and Danilo spoke about the fixture that took place at Ciro Vigorito Stadium. Their statements follow:
ANDREA PIRLO
“We managed the match well in the first half and we could have wrapped it up, but we’re still not understanding certain moments of the match. When we lack players of experience and personality, we struggle. Ronaldo had already had a little problem on Wednesday and preferred to recover. We are working on the development of the game, trying to play with two wider players, one more offensive and one starting from behind, but when the games get "dirty", we have to solve them by playing in a linear way. We should have won the match, but we lacked personality and we will have to work on that. Kulusevski? He is a young player, he cannot be in all matches since he also plays in the national team, he must also be managed because the responsibilities are different when playing for Juve.”
DANILO
“We have to reflect on ourselves, because we played a good first part, but after having conceded the goal we couldn’t keep organised. At this point, this is when the matches become difficult. We all need to improve. My role? If Juve need me to play central, I'm available to help the coach and the team.”
