Coach Massimiliano Allegri, goalscorers Adriend Rabiot and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny comment after Saturday's 1-0 success over Roma.

“We now have 43 points, tonight was important for the standings - keeping Roma, an excellent Roma, at a distance was really fundamental. After scoring we conceded very little, so I'm very happy. Now let's think about Thursday and finishing the first half of the season in the best possible way, to throw ourselves fully into the second part of the season. We have a team that is continuing last year's work, with more serenity and with greater growth for the whole group. Last year was a particular season, so we continue to work, to train even better to win matches and reach the Champions League again. Beating Roma wasn't easy, and they showed it today on the field too; we must not get overly excited, but continue to work, knowing that we have a lot to do and improve. Kenan Yildiz? For me, seeing players who know how to play football is beautiful, and he played an extraordinary game, and Federico Chiesa who came in also did very well."

“Winning was important for us, especially having seen Inter draw, and knowing that we could close the gap. Let's continue like this, winning, looking forward, with the spirit of this evening. The Scudetto? We believe in it, it is a goal for all of us, but there’s a long way to go. I'm happy to have scored here at home, it hasn't happened yet this season, I'm working hard on this, and I'm very happy to have scored in front of our fans, they believe in it too.
